As we could not come to an agreement with the Colonial Inn on the cost, we have cancelled the in person reunion. The good news is that we are scheduling the event on Zoom which allow more members to attend.

Don Hotchkiss, our Military Genealogist will be speaking on the Hotchkiss Family in the Revolutionary War. There will be a handout available. In addition, he will talk to us about how we can go about marking Revolutionary War graves with a VA headstone, replacing broken headstones for a new VA headstone, and marking graves with a Revolutionary War flag holder medallion.

We will follow it the next week with Dr. Coen’s presentation on the Revolutionary War Era. Dr. Francis Coen, a retired professor of history from the Connecticut college system will present a 2 hour program on the Revolutionary War Era on April 13, 2025 at 7 p.m. EDT. He has given numerous lectures on the Revolutionary War. As we approach the 250th anniversary of the founding of our country in July 2026 it will be a great reminder of our country’s early history.
